The Homestead Journal ~Week 37 ~ The Creepy Thing

Homestead Happenings
We had a blessed Sabbath. I had an interview with my Bishop, regarding my Patriarchal Blessing. I hope to have it done in the next month. To learn more about Patriarchal Blessings click here
I know its August, but it beginning to look and feel like fall. I am already behind on my summer projects. The cool mornings have inspired me to begin my morning hot coco's :)

The two girls share a room, and their personal effects go in there. They tend to "collect" things. Monday morning they re-organized their room. Monday night, I can hear Abigail playing her music box. She hadn't played it in months, it was under all her artwork.
This is why organization is important! It was nice to hear the music box in the silence of the home.

What We Are Learning About

Zachary has started on multiplication. He is doing amazingly well. He asked me to help him, I told him how to do the first one, then the second, he saw the pattern and did the whole worksheet after that.

I found this great website for writing

Children learn through play. Many adults just see it as fun, but its both. I love watching my children play. There are so many lessons to be found. They were building a city here. They gathered small trees from the pasture and replanted them in the city, laid out buildings, created roads. This of course was a city run over by dinosausrs.

Our Adventures
Thursday we headed back down to the creek. The creek was a little low and there was a log, they all kept trying to climb on it and balance. It was amusing, however, the talk was about what I found while sitting in the van nursing the baby. I happened to glance up and it caught my eye.. darn observant photographer eye.
 Do you see it?

 How about now...

 you see it right...

This gave me the chills.. Even after I zoomed in, and saw it was fake
I made my husband check it out. We never go past the sign, but boy, that will for sure make a trespasser give great consideration before continuing on.. I watched some of the Saw movies. I didn't want to get out of the van LOL

  3. I love it when kids are creative and use their imaginations. I have snapped some really cute pictures of my little ones playing. It's always amazing when kids find something they have had buried in their rooms or on their desks. It's like they got it for the first time. I kind of like your couch! I have never seen a print like it, but it so country-esque. I would have to agree with you that the thing in the trees is freaky. I would be out of there! :)
