The Homestead Journal ~Week 6~ Making Crayons

What We Are Learning
Saxon Math,  Lucas is not at all interested.

Vocabulary sheets, started our Story of the World series,
On Tuesday the littles made some star shaped crayons

Jacob worked on making a new puzzle..
warning, this is addicting!

This week the children are into Man Vs Wild. This guy has some pretty slick survival skills.
I can say the one thing I have learned, never get trapped in the wilderness!!

We did a few science experiments from a book we got from the library, How Science Works. One was about oil and water "miscible and  immiscible" and the other was water pressure. We hope to do more this week.

Our Adventures

Snowed again, this is Quinten's humongous snowball

 Challenges/Accomplishments This Week

  1. Look at the younger ones peeling paper from crayons! So intent! Something we haven't tried, but I do have a lot of broken crayons! One of these days!

Looks like you have as much snow as we have in MAINE! LOL We got about 6 inches the other day. Before that - brown!

  2. I love the pictures, once again. I especially like the one with the boys looking out the window at the snow. Very nice! And I like those crayons, too!
