We found some property (28 acres wooded with a pond and an adjoining 65 acres) and things fell into place. The property use to have some small buildings on it, but its been vacated for some time. We have some clean up to do in the front part, the front 2 acres were all that was lived on. These are photos I have taken over the past few weeks on our trips out there. We have been assessing the layout, plans etc.
I guess it's time to go big or go home right! We will place the cabin a little back from the road, for privacy. It will be all off grid. There are power lines in the front of the property but cost wise it would be the same to install solar as it would to hook into the grid.
It will be a growing process for all of us and everyone is very excited. We know it won't be easy, but this is where God has led us. We will be moving out to the property over the next few weeks. It's just a hop and a skip down the road from where we are at now.
For those that may be wondering, this is where we laid Taylor to rest last week.
I will update more in our weekly Homestead Journals. So don't forget to subscribe to our posts!
