The Homestead Journal ~ Week 14~ Naked Egg and a Yummy Bread Recipie

What's New In Our Life
On Sunday I was sustained and set apart in my new calling as a Primary Worker. I am the teacher for CTR A- the 4 & 5 year old class. I am excited for a new calling, but this will be challenging for me. It may be a surprise for some, but I am not a "kid" person. I adore my children, but I could never be a school teacher. This is defiantly  a "growth opportunity"

Homestead Happenings
Monday we did our "naked egg" experiment. We all played with the eggs over the past few days. They are very buoyant, but they do not bounce, so well ;)

We spent the week just working on basics and got some spring cleaning done. We are also finishing up our Daddy was home Thursday and Friday  with a sore back so the children have been enjoying their time with him.

Our Adventures
Tuesday we made our usual journey to the library. Story time was the hunfry caterpillar. Wednesday Abigail had Faith in God for Girls, and the boys ( J,Q,I) went to scouts with some friends. Jacob had a Young Men's Activity and learned about some MTC ( Missionary Training Center) skills, to which he told me he already knew, most of them such as how to sew a button, folding sheets etc. They also did some cooking and sorting laundry. Poor Jacob went to his activity only to do the chores he had to complete before going to his activity. Quinten worked on knots, and his art merit badge. Isaac got to design his Pinewood Derby car and carved it out. Friday we did a little shopping in town.
