The Homestead Journal ~Week 3~ First Tooth

What We Are Learning
The children are really into science stuff right now. They have been watching Beakman's World and several nature and science shows.

Our Adventures
The two older boys went caroling with the Boy Scouts on Wednesday. Played some basketball after. We hit the library on Thursday. Its nice to go when everyone else is at school.

What's New In Our Life
Lucas has sprouted his first tooth.

What We Are Reading
The Scriptures, and they are finishing up their chapter books.

 Challenges/Accomplishments This Week
My oldest son, Jacob, celebrated his 13th Birthday. You can read his birth story here. I cannot believe he is 13.

Scripture to Share
Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal:  But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through norsteal:  For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also. ~ Matthew 6:19-21

making a salt dough nativity
After you play with dough, how do you get the children to mop the floor?
Socks, soapy water and lots of energy!

  1. I love how you got the kids to clean up the floor after the salt dough! It's creative and the kids don't even know they're really helping to clean up that floor! They just know it's fun stuff! And cute photos!
