Cooking with Children

Cooking with children is fun. They love to do it and there is so much they can learn

All the children help with cooking. They love to do it. I encourage all parents to teach their children to cook at a young age. Not only is this a fun activity, but it teaches them self reliance and independence.

  1. Yum! Jake and Cati are cooking independently now. Jake enjoys finding new recipes and trying them, and Cati loves making breakfast. Sam is just starting out, but he does the mixing and sometimes the chopping, measuring, and clean-up. It's a MUST to learn to cook!

  2. I am wanting to start teaching my kids but haven't got the guts yet. I will start later on when I feel they are responsible enough. LOL I know how it would end right now with a mess and no food. Maybe you can pass on some pointers on how to start.

  3. I totally agree with you. My kids love to cook and bake. Sometimes I tend to shoo them out of the kitchen because I am in a hurry and want to get the meal done. But, I know that teaches them nothing. I woke up this morning to find breakfast made already. Our oldest made a pot of oatmeal.
